How your payments are protected

No badges, no jargon — just what happens to your money, who actually receives it, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Paying with M-PESA

You see who you're paying, before you pay

Before the prompt reaches your phone, we show you the business name and till number the money is going to. Check that it matches what appears on your handset. If the two ever disagree, cancel and tell us.

Some sellers are paid directly

Depending on the shop, the prompt may name the seller's own business rather than ours. That is normal — it means you are paying the shop directly. The name we show you beforehand is the name you should see.

We never see or ask for your PIN

Your M-PESA PIN is entered on your own handset, on Safaricom's prompt. Nobody here can see it, and nobody from this marketplace will ever ask you for it — by phone, message, or email. Anyone who does is not us.

Paying by card

Your card number never reaches us

Card payments are handled by our payment provider, PesaPal. You enter your card on their page, not ours. There is no field on this site that accepts a card number — which means there is nothing for us to store, leak, or misuse. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

Your bank may ask you to confirm

Some cards require a one-time code or an approval in your banking app before a payment goes through. That step belongs to your bank, not to us — we never see the code.

If something goes wrong

30 days to return

You can request a return for 30 days after delivery. Read the returns policy for what qualifies.

Track your order

Every order has a status you can follow from your orders page, with a tracking number once it ships.

A payment that didn't complete

If money left your account but the order still shows as unpaid, don't pay again — a second attempt can mean a second charge. Payments can take a few minutes to confirm, and the order page updates itself. If it hasn't settled after that, contact us with your order number.

What we can't do, and won't

  • We can't see your card number. It is entered on our payment provider's page and never passes through this site.
  • We can't see your M-PESA PIN. It goes to Safaricom, on your handset.
  • We will never ask for either. Not by phone, message, or email. No refund, verification, or "account check" requires your PIN.
  • We won't claim certifications we don't hold. This page used to display compliance badges we had no right to show. They're gone. What's written here is what the site actually does.

Staying safe

Pay only through the checkout on this site. If a seller asks you to send money to a personal number, pay outside the platform, or complete an order over WhatsApp, stop — you lose every protection on this page, and we can't help with a payment we never saw.

Read the till name on your phone before entering your PIN. It is the last and best check that your money is going where you intend.
